A Legacy Shoot ensures loved ones have cherished memories of you to share with generations to come

When a life ends, the people left behind draw comfort from the treasured images they have of their loved one at their favourite places, with their most cherished family and friends.

Having recently lost my mother-in-law, Marilyn, to leukemia after two hard years of treatment, I know how important photos of the fun moments during that time have become for all the family.

An image of Marilyn at her favourite park bench at Maleny Botanic Gardens is cherished by her daughters. Likewise, family shoots taken at a large family holiday in the Hinterland for her 50th wedding anniversary mean the world to her husband.

Working with Simon and his family during the last few weeks of his life and knowing how important these photos have become for his children is something I take very seriously.

A legacy shoot is aimed at capturing the joy and bonds a person has with the people and places that mean the most to them. It is through these images they are remembered and their life is celebrated.

My philosophy when working with someone who wants to capture images for others to remember them by and for others to draw comfort from is to focus on the things, people and places that bring them joy.

We will work together on picking the timing, location and approach to the shoot that best suits what is most important to you, and what you feel physically and emotionally up to. The shoot will be casual and calm, I will capture heart warming images while you are enjoying your natural interactions with the people, things and places you love.

My aim is for you to enjoy the experience of having the photoshoot
